Butcher Mill Falls

These falls, also known as Higgins Mills Falls, offer major photo ops! The plunging falls flow into a deep pool, which then turns into cascading falls down a 20 ft. rock slope. Located in Colchester County, they’re easily accessed via a 10-minute hike.

Delaps Cove Waterfall

Take the 2.2km Bohaker Trail out to Delaps Cove Waterfalls. In addition to the falls, you’ll get great views of the Bay of Fundy along the hike.

Hellsgate Falls

Hellsgate, also known as Three Pools, is a mission to get to but totally worth it. The difficult hike is not part of a trail system and involves steep climbs down to the falls, so it’s not ideal for children. The reward for your hard work? Beautiful falls that feed into three swimmable pools.

If you’re visiting Kejimkujik Park, a visit to these on-site falls is a must! An easy well-groomed trail will lead you to the impressive falls, which feed into a large pool.

Uisge Ban Falls

Follow a 4km hike through Uisge Ban Falls Provincial Park to the stunning Uisge Ban waterfalls. Its name (pronounced ish-ka-ban) means “white water” in Gaelic and is an accurate name for the five-story drop!

Wentworth Valley Falls

This full bridal-veil falls is not only super impressive, it’s also easy to get to! Win-win. Enjoy the view, the leisurely hike, and the pool at the end of the end of the falls.

Annandale Falls

The Annandale Falls are reportedly the tallest in the Wentworth Valley, but caution needs to be taken to reach them. They aren’t part of a trail system and the difficult hike involves steep climbing.

Mary Ann Falls

The Mary Ann Falls are found after a short and easy hike through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy the view and take a swim in the pool at the base of the falls.

Baxters Harbour Falls

If you’re not in the mood for a hike, these are the falls for you as you can actually see them from your car! When the tide is out (it’s located on the Bay of Fundy), you can walk along the beach to the falls.

North River Falls

With a 32-meter drop, the North River Falls in North River Provincial Park are said to be the highest falls in Nova Scotia. The seven-hour return trip is lengthy, but the views of the falls more than make up for it!
