‘Shomal’ means north in Persian, and refers largely to the province of Mazandaran in the north of Iran. Think rolling green hills and pure serenity.

Golestan

Golestan Province is located in the north-east of Iran, south of the Caspian Sea. Located within Golestan is the Golestan National Park, the biggest natural park in Iran, covering 90 sq. acres. Home to many rare species of birds and animals, it is an essential camping destination. Be aware that wildfires caused by negligent campers have been an issue in recent times, which has led to the creation of designated camping areas for tourists.
