Osterbro is the kind of neighborhood where families spend their Sunday mornings. Home to the greenest areas in Copenhagen, the largest park, Faelledparken, is located in Osterbro and is often frequented by couples, families, children and dogs. Hordes of tourists visit this neighborhood, usually making a beeline for the Little Mermaid, a famous landscape on Copenhagen’s waterfront. Osterbro offers some of the finest restaurants and below, we’ve chosen our top ten.

1. LêLê Street Kitchen

Restaurant, Vietnamese

Even if you think you’re not a big fan of Asian cuisine, LêLê Street Kitchen might make you reconsider. This popular Vietnamese restaurant can be found in the heart of Osterbrogade. In LêLê Street Kitchen diners can sit in one of the lovely but limited tables and share some of the finest small dishes, such as Vietnamese rolls, crispy daikon salad, rolls with char siu pork, salmon tartar on betel leaf, and more. Dishes are always served with fresh vegetables and herbs. Opened in 2011, the restaurant offers an intimate and cozy setting for a quick meal, a cup of coffee or a homemade Vietnamese Lemonade. The restaurant also offers the possibility to take away your meal.

2. La Esquina

Cafe, Restaurant, European

Located at the corner of a small street, La Esquina offers a little bit of everything. This restaurant is suitable for an evening dine but also for a relaxed morning snack before work. 3. Halifax

Bakery, Restaurant, American, Vegan, Vegetarian

Just next to one of the entrances of the park Faelledparken, you will find Halifax. In this restaurant, the owners believe that the key to a successful business is the quality of service and products, hard work and, of course, having your heart in the right place. You just need to pay a visit to this house of burgers to realize that they have successfully mastered this combination and their philosophy is right. Homemade dressings and burger buns are delivered every day from their own bakery. Diners can build up their own burger from scratch and have it delivered from one of the friendly staff members.

5. Cock’s & Cows Østerbro
