Yes, the island of Puerto Rico is surrounded by water and has hundreds of beautiful beaches, clear cool rivers in the mountains, and hotels and resorts with gorgeous pools, but if that doesn’t provide enough fun in the sun for you, why not check out some of the water parks on the island? They are scattered throughout Puerto Rico, so no matter where you are, you should be able to find something that fits the bill.

Las Cascadas Water Park

Recent renovations at Las Cascadas have made it the biggest water park in the Caribbean. It has a crazy river and wave pools, plus a speed slide and a water tunnel for those who want bigger aquatic adventures. It is very popular with kids, so can be a little noisy.

Surf ‘N Fun Water Park

Surf ‘N Fun Water Park in the village of San Germán is a great place for the whole family. There are plenty of lounges for the adults to relax on, and fun to be had for young and old. There is a fun area for infants and toddlers, a wave pool, a surf simulator, a lazy river, a rappelling wall and a diving area with trampolines. Try out the electric boats for a bumper-cars-on-water experience. They also serve food and drink at very reasonable prices, so you can make a day of it.

Coqui Water Park

Not only will this small water park occupy kids during their visit, but adults can take a well-deserved break and enjoy views of the ocean for the duration of their stay. Thrills and adventure await you when you visit Coqui Water Park, located in the El Conquistador Resort. Among the exhilarating rides and rapids is a trendy restaurant/bar when you’re ready to grab something to eat. Guests of all ages can have fun at Coqui Water Park, whether they decide to rent a hammock near one of the pools or climb the 60-foot (18-metre) Torre de Yocahu Tower.

Aquasol Barrazas

When you are staying in the San Juan area, it is sometimes hard to find water activities for small children, because the Atlantic surf can be quite high and the beaches can be crowded loud and touristy. With a maximum water depth of eight inches (20 centimeters), Aquasol Barrazas is excellent for young children. All of the areas are suitable for infants and toddlers, and they even have swim diapers available for purchase. They do not allow smoking or drinking alcohol, and they have a small café for when you get hungry. This is great for moms and dads who want to relax in the sun a little bit, because all the water is shallow and the playthings are geared toward the youngsters.
