Golden Unicorn

Notably elegant with a rich red and gold interior, Golden Unicorn is one of the city’s best restaurants for dim sum. Established in 1989, Golden Unicorn was named one of the Five Best Restaurants In New York City by Food and Wine Magazine. It is the only Chinese restaurant to receive such an accolade. This is a must-try spot if you’re in the market for a more formal meal.

Jing Fong is the place to be for dim sum on the weekends, as crowds gather here for a taste of everything on their cart. Founded in 1978, Jing Fong recently moved from its original location in Chinatown to a larger space on Elizabeth Street, which can accommodate up to 800 people. Jing Fong provides a quick culinary escape to Hong Kong, but you don’t even have to leave NYC.

East Harbor Seafood

East Harbor Seafood tends to get crowded, so we recommend coming here for lunch. This spot serves fresh, delicious dim sum, and the decor is characterized by cozy red and wooden accents.

Dim Sum Bar

Not your typical dim sum spot, Dim Sum Bar combines the cultural and culinary tradition of dim sum with contemporary elements of New York City’s food trends. The venue is both elegant and modern, creating a special environment in which to enjoy delicious food.

Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao

Feeling lazy? Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao is the perfect solution. This Queens-based venue offers takeout and delivery to surrounding neighborhoods. Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao is known for their modern interpretation of traditional dim sum and offers a slight twist on the classics.

Dim Sum Go Go

Dim Sum Go Go is a vegetarian-friendly dim sum spot in downtown Manhattan. Choose from a wide selection of dim sum dishes from their menu (rather than the traditional cart). Or, opt for a sampler platter if you can’t make up your mind.

Buddha Bodai

Established in 2004, Buddha Bodai is one of the few vegetarian dim sum restaurants in New York City. Chef Dong has been serving vegetarian meals for more than 45 years. This chef has perfected the high standards of quality and freshness that you will find at this restaurant.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
