Forget mid-trip flights between neighbouring countries, we’ve put together the ultimate multi-country road trip in Southeast Asia, sewing together three of the region’s most culturally vibrant destinations. You’ll get to experience the natural landscapes, ancient cultures and mouthwatering cuisines that make all three totally distinct. In Thailand we’ll focus on Bangkok’s temples and street food delights. In Cambodia, it’s all about Angkor Wat, which we’ll visit at sunrise – a truly once in a lifetime experience. You’ll also visit the Killing Fields, watch a local circus show and go on a food tour of Phnom Penh, before crossing the border into Vietnam via speedboat. We’ll go on a river cruise down the Mekong River, explore canals and islets via traditional row boat and end up in Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll get to go on a guided market visit and take a traditional cooking class.

Incredible Thailand and Laos by Train

This two-week cross country itinerary is a Rail Trip of epic proportions. Again we’ll start in Bangkok, heading south to explore the ancient ruins of Sukhothai and the street food delights of Chiang Mai. We’ll round off our time in Thailand with a traditional cooking class, a visit to an ethical elephant sanctuary and a night spent glamping in the jungle. The next day we’ll swap trains for a cruise boat, and tracks for the Mekong River, as we discover rural Laos’ whiskey-making villagers and otherworldly cave systems. We’ll trek to the truly spectacular Kuang Si Falls – reason alone to visit this beautiful country – before taking a high-speed train to the city of Vang Vieng. After exploring the Nam Song River by kayak, it’s time to cross back into Thailand, where we’ll hop on an overnight sleeper train back to Bangkok.
