The old-fashioned dining date still holds its charm. There is something very special about dressing up and taking someone out on a date and spending an entire evening chatting, eating, and having a good time. So, here are the most romantic restaurants in Mumbai, so that you don’t have to fret the next time you are taking your special someone out!

1. Gadda da Vida

Hotel Restaurant, Indian

What can be more romantic than sitting by the Arabian sea, watching the sunset with your special one! Gadda da Vida is a beautiful lounge in Novotel Hotel. It has a closed section but the best place to have a date is on the roofless porch area overlooking the sea.

2. Masala Bar

Restaurant, Asian, European, Indian

A beautiful restaurant in Mumbai and the only one that is lit with candles! It is easily one of the most beautiful places to take your date. The best time to go there would be after sunset because that’s when they light all the candles.

3. The Tasting Room

Restaurant, European

The Tasting Room is built inside an old, abandoned factory mill and they have still kept bits and parts of the original place mixing it with vibrant colours and beautiful décor. It is a great place to spend a romantic evening, with soft music playing in the background, setting the mood just right.

4. Corniche – At The Waterfront

Restaurant, Asian

Corniche – At The Waterfront is an open restaurant that overlooks the sea. Best times to visit the place would be for brunch or even breakfast. That way you can treat your special one to a lovely view, sound of waves and good food.

5. Pali Village Café

Cafe, European

One of the most beautifully done cafes in Mumbai, Pali Village Café has the perfect ambience for dates and some goof quality time with your loved one.

6. Gallops

Restaurant, Seafood, Indian

A fine dining restaurant, Gallops is part of the Mahalaxmi Race Course area. An old place, Gallops was once only open for members. Thank god for the change in policy, now anyone can go there to enjoy their exquisite ambience along with the food.

7. Bungalow 9

Restaurant, European, Indian

Bungalow 9 has an open area and an enclosed one, with soft music playing in the background. It’s a place where you can find privacy to spend good time on a romantic date.

8. Suzette

Restaurant, French

Although, there are a bunch of Suzettes in Mumbai, we recommend the branch in Powai for a good romantic date. The décor is typically Suzette, consistent across all their branches, the food is great and there is enough space between tables to whisper sweet nothings and indulge in a little romance.

9. Café at the NCPA

Cafe, American, Asian, Contemporary

The National Centre for the Performing Arts has a garden café and not too many people know about it! If you and your date are the kinds to enjoy a play or an art performance, we recommend you visit the café afterwards.
