Dining out in the German capital promises plenty of great options but when you’re in a large group it can be difficult to stumble upon a place that can fit you and your posse. Fear not, we’ve found the best spots to wine and dine with a large group.

1. Clärchens Ballhaus

Clärchens Ballhaus is a century-old ballroom in Berlin. The huge venue has a large outdoor garden dining area, perfect for the summer, as well as spacious indoor seating, for the cooler months. Dark wood, candlelit tables and charming fairy-lights make up the atmosphere and groups can treat themselves to some ballroom dancing, or live music after dinner. This popular, unique spot can fill up fast so make a reservation to secure a spot for you and your crew.

2. BRLO Restaurant

BRLO is the Berlin-based craft beer brewery and modern restaurant housed in former shipping containers by the Spree. Having mastered the craft beer game in Berlin, BRLO has opened a restaurant with the aim to elevate the relationship between food and beer to a new level. The huge two-levelled restaurant offers a contemporary, seasonal and delicious menu, which goes well with their signature beer.

3. Villa Rodizio

6. Hofbräuhaus Berlin

The Hofbräuhaus in Berlin brings a taste of traditional Bavarian dining and spirit to the heart of Berlin. With a huge indoor restaurant and some outdoor seating in the warmer months, this über-traditional joint is perfect for large groups. Live bands often play, giving this Bräuhaus an easy-going atmosphere, which makes it a great spot to enjoy their Hofbräu Weißbier served in the iconic half-litre steins. A favourite amongst locals and tourists, it’s best to make a reservation and secure your spot.

7. Il Casolare

Il Casolare is ideally located on the leafy streets of Kreuzberg, right by the canal. Serving up cheap, but tasty wine, traditional Italian dishes and some of the most authentic Mediterranean flavours in Berlin, it’s a favourite for Kreuzberg locals. Offering indoor and outdoor seating, usually on large bench-style tables, it’s great for large groups. However, because of its inviting location, it fills up quickly in the summer, so making a booking is advised.
