Riga is a wonderful city that amazes its visitors with old traditions, rich culture, stunning architecture, and lively nightlife. There are various nightclubs all around the city, which invite both locals and foreigners to party till the morning light. Read our list of the best nightclubs in Riga, and pick the ones that suit you the best.

1. Kaļķu Vārti

Kaļķu Vārti is one of the locals’ favorite clubs in Riga, so it is definitely a good place to meet some local Latvians and see how people party in Riga. The beats are mainly mainstream, so that everyone can sing along and freely dance both inside the club and on the open roof terrace, which is especially convenient during the warm season.

2. Piens

Pien (“Milk”) is one of a few nightclubs located outside of the city center, because it originally opened for the people who wanted to party without any fancy dresses, expensive cocktails, or mainstream scene. Today, Piens attracts all the laid-back artists of Riga, so it is a perfect place to party at if you enjoy meeting and dancing with fun and artsy people.

3. Star Lounge Bar

Restaurant, Bar, Pub Grub

If you want to party in a stunning place from which you can see all of Riga, Star Lounge Bar, located on the top floor of the Albert Hotel, is the place to go. The best parties happen at this club every weekend. On top of that, the amazing cocktails in Star Lounge Bar are made by true professionals, who work hard every night to satisfy their customers.

5. Spot Kafé

Spot Kafé is an extremely small club, located in the very center of Riga, so it is a perfect place to start your night partying in this lively city. You can choose from more than 50 different shots, so there is no risk of getting drunk to the same old boring drinks. Also, as the place is very small, the staff pays a lot of attention to each visitor, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs is the most bohemian place in Riga when it comes to partying. Every person with an artistic soul must visit this place while staying in Riga and meet the most influential but down-to-earth artists of Latvia. During the week, Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs is a good and quiet place to grab a beer and have a small chat. However, it changes to a huge party scene on the weekends, so if you come here on Friday or Saturday, don’t expect to leave before dawn.

7. Autentika

Autentika is a new indie club that opened in 2016 in an abandoned brewery. If you enjoy dancing to indie vibes and trying the best local beer, this is the place where you want to go. Even though Autentika is still a new club, the locals already love it and it gets full on the weekends, so you can meet a lot of new friends and have a blast.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
