Modern Sochi is undoubtedly one of the best places in Russia, especially when it comes to food and drink. There is no shortage of excellent restaurants in Sochi, but the trick is to head where the locals go. Sochi eateries provide better quality at affordable prices. Usually Moscow residents come together at one of the many local or international restaurants, where they’ll stay for the whole evening and sit over bottles of wine and conversation. We’ve found some of the most beloved restaurants locals frequent in Sochi.

1. Che? Harcho!

Restaurant, Russian

Created by the White Rabbit Family, Che? Harcho! is a beloved place for locals and visitors alike. Serving affordable dishes made from local ingredients delivered daily from nearby farms, the bar also has regular live music and shows sporting events on a big screen TV. You will always feel true hospitality here.

2. Voda

Restaurant, Russian, Italian, Japanese, European

Voda is another favourite spot for locals in the city. If you find yourself hungry and in need of a little luxury, head toward Voda. The venue was founded a couple of years ago and offers great meal deals and a fantastic ocean view. The menu offers quality fish and meat options, as well as the best oysters and king size prawns in the area. A vast wine list with options from different continents, mouthwatering starters and much more are also available.

3. Chicha

Restaurant, Bar, Peruvian, Pub Grub

Located in the heart of Sochi, this is the little brother of Chicha Moscow. This place became really popular among locals in Moscow and the owners decided to introduce the same venue to Sochi residents. And guess what! It was met with success again. All the authentic Peruvian dishes and tasty cocktails you could want are here at Chicha. Cazuela soup, ceviche, home-made causa, fish dishes with Peruvian fruits, and plenty more. Don’t forget to try the bright green liquor made from coca leaves and guarana.
