A new concept to Jerusalem, Bardak Bar & Beer is a pizza bar that takes a different approach to pizza. All of their pizzas are named after Jerusalem neighborhoods and every pizza is served with a different topping. Bardak also carries about 40 types of beer, in bottles and on tap, from local Israeli breweries. Bardak’s pizza is made from very tasty dough and fresh toppings. They even sell a dessert pizza with chocolate, a must-try.

2. P2 Pizza

Pizzeria, Restaurant, Vegetarian, Israeli

P2 Pizza is one of the more innovative pizzerias in Jerusalem. It’s a very small venue and one of P2’s concepts is that they let the customers build their own pizzas to their likings. P2 has a set menu but there is always another option to enjoy pizza the way you like it. The pizzas are made with fresh hand rolled-out dough, a thin crust and a large variety of fresh toppings (including a large selection for vegetarians). To top all that off the pizza is baked in a wood-fire oven. If you crave something else they do salads and pastas as well. Open seven days a week, the venue has free Wi-Fi and fresh beer on tap.

3. Big Apple Pizza

Pizzeria, American

Big Apple Pizza is a pizza chain spread across the country that offers an American-style pizza pie. Their great pizza features thin crust, gooey cheese and a flavorful sauce. Most importantly, the consistency of the flavor in every store is the same. It’s good pizza that can you can find anywhere you travel around Israel.

4. American Pie Pizza

Pizzeria, Restaurant, American, Italian

American Pie Pizza has nothing to do with the movie, America Pie. But the pizza itself definitely is reminiscent of a classic New York-style thin crust pizza. Funnily enough, American Pie Pizza is not run by an American but by some French guys who really like pizza. Their amazing cheese blend used to top off their pizzas makes their food stand out from the rest. If you are looking for a solid pizza with all the basic toppings that will remind you of New York, this is the place to go.

5. Red Pizza

Pizzeria, Israeli

Red Pizza is a new pizzeria that opened up in the German Colony a few months ago. Red Pizza offers a variety of pizzas, where the dough isn’t only white flour. You can also get whole wheat pizza, spelt pizza and a gluten-free option as well. Off the main road of Emek Refaim street is where you can find this healthy pizza store. Here, enjoy a healthier alternative of this Italian delight.
