El Fish Fritanga is a casual seafood restaurant and a big favourite among the locals. They serve some of the most authentic Mexican food in the whole of Cancun. It’s super family friendly, with high chairs and an outdoor kid play area. Try the ceviche or fish tacos, the star attraction, best enjoyed overlooking the beach and lagoon.

2. Lorenzillo's

Lorenzillo’s

One of Cancun’s oldest restaurants, Lorenzillo’s has been a favorite among locals and tourists since it opened in 1979. There is a lobster farm on the premises, so it’s no surprise the menu consists primarily of seafood dishes. It has indoor dining, an outdoor terrace with lovely views, and even a wine cellar. Try the Las Cornamusa, lobster croquettes served with chipotle mayonnaise. You can end your dining by indulging in one their brilliant desserts, try the Chocolate Volcano.

3. Captain’s Cove

Restaurant, Seafood

Captain’s Cove is popular for the size of its portions, so don’t make the mistake of gorging on salad before the main. Steak and seafood are the top offerings at this lovely, waterfront restaurant. Try the golden-fried calamari for a light start to the meal or the crab cakes. They have some mouth-watering desserts too, and the carrot cake comes particularly recommended.

4. Fred's House Seafood Market & Grill

Restaurant, Market, Seafood

Fred’s House is a fantastic place to enjoy fresh seafood in an elegant waterfront setting. The menu has an extensive selection of dishes given a little Mexican flair with delicate spices full of flavour. Outdoor dining is available, with tables overlooking the lagoon. It’s a top spot to go and enjoy seafood.

5. Mocambo

Mocambo

Located next to the Playa Caracol, a popular public beach, Mocambo serves up some of Cancun’s best seafood. Customers can order from the menu or choose from the seafood platter.
