San Francisco, unlike many other cities, has this unique ability to keep its old soul and not to be absorbed in the era of new technology. Yes, we are growing and changing; some of the changes are welcome, while others take time to adjust. Many modern movies, which involve shots of our city, show San Francisco at its best, focusing on art, architecture, history and, of course, the community.

THE LOUNGE

Let us dive into the extraordinary world of the spirit, body and soul – from folk music to sensational yoga classes, from the traditional ritual of serving tea to the workshops of improving your state of mind. We are introducing you to one of the most stunning places in San Francisco: Center SF.

Community is the main ingredient of Fog City. One of the best examples of a place where community thrives is the Center SF. Here, you can find exceptional and talented artists who can transform any object into a piece of art, grab a tea and gather with people “to ponder eternity, and doubt immaculateness of ideas, hypotheses, of works of art, and incidentally – the very creation of our universe.”

YOGA CLASS
TEA SETUP

The Tea Room is the place where your journey begins. Sometimes you don’t need to go to a bar with friends; you just need a cup of fine tea, which enables all your energy and strength. The Tea Room offers an extensive list of organic teas and is a place where you can experience a self-service bar or the traditional Gung-Fu ceremonial service from one of the tea experts.

TEA ROOM

Every room is designed to create a cordial and relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy the simple pleasures and forget about the errands or things you have to do (we all need that sometimes). It features Japanese minimalism – a piano pushed slightly forward merging with the lighted wall. Some of the talented musicians occasionally give a performance in the Center SF. You will be surprised to see how many people gather to exchange knowledge or enjoy the music while sipping some of that empowering tea. Do not hesitate to attend yoga church or the empathy practice group.

Michael Latronica, the owner-operator of the Center SF, was able to create a place where people engage with each other on a very deep level through one of the most powerful mediums – art. He managed to enrich the community and bring new ways of discovering ourselves, using it for our everyday lives. Lama Ole Nydahl, the founder of Diamond Way Buddhism, recently gave a lecture at the Center SF, and this is the best example to show how our community is connecting, building and growing every day.

TEA ROOM

We’ve become so dependent on technology and everyday goals that sometimes we forgot that all we need is simple human interaction, discussing art or being at peace with ourselves. That is why the Center SF is highly recommended for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a place where you are not an accountant, graphic designer or customer service representative; it’s a place where you are you, a place where what matters is your being and state of mind.

However, if yoga is not for you, you can simply enjoy some folk music. There are plenty of venues where you can enjoy this type of music; the Center SF is not an exception. You will be amazed to see how many great bands are performing and sharing their love for music.
