Returning for a special limited season is Northcote Town Hall’s annual Kris Kringle Night Market. Over four Thursdays from 5:30 pm shoppers can wander through the indoor Christmas market featuring over sixty stalls selling everything from homewares to jewellery, clothing, textiles, ceramics, skincare products and food. The family friendly market also includes live entertainment and free activities.

3. French Xmas Market

Showcasing French culture, the Alliance Francaise de Melbourne’s 2017 Xmas Market aims to promote products sold or made by French artisans living in Australia. Over two days, Francophiles can peruse through food and wine stalls, participate in a range of free and gold coin activities including face painting and balloon twisting, and watch free demonstrations. The market’s full program will be released in November.

4. Weihnachtsmarkt German Christmas Market

Translating to Christmas Market, Weihnachtsmarkt is a one-day German-themed event featuring an array of Christmas gifts ideas and tempting food stalls. Located in Bayswater, there will be some 40 boutique stalls on site including a range of arts and crafts from the Templer Handcraft Group as well as hand crafted Christmas decorations, German-style wooden ornaments, Santa stockings, jewellery and more.
