The Best Restaurants in Hobart That Offer Takeaway and Home Dining
The list of great restaurants in Australia’s Hobart is endless. With a thriving culinary and bar scene, the island state is home to some of the country’s finest restaurants, which serve up all kinds of national and international cuisines made with high-quality fresh local produce. Whether you’re visiting Hobart on a trip away, or you live locally, a night at home has never looked so good in this city, with many places now offering home-dining experiences. Here’s our selection of the best restaurants for takeaway and delivery in Hobart.
1. Lucinda
Wine Bar, Wine
Get your takeaway natural wine and food fix from Hobart’s Lucinda. The popular natural wine bar is offering same-day drinks delivery for Hobart locals and a selection of take-home food is on offer for collection. Accompanying staples such as burrata and other cheeses, olives and savoury and sweet tarts are featured on the menu. Check out their Instagram for visual inspiration and treat yourself to a little indulgence in the comfort of your own home this weekend, with fine wine and foods.
2. Bar Waizakaya
Restaurant, Bar, Australian
Hobart’s Japanese gastropub Bar Waizakaya has a brand new online ordering system for pick up and delivery daily between 12pm and 9pm. Their Tokyo-style menu features favourites like ramen, panko-crumbed pork belly and gyoza complete with a selection of sake, Japanese beers and cocktails. They’re even live-streaming their Sunday BBQ cook-up, which is available to order alongside a serving of live music from their upstairs bar. It remains to be seen whether this is a regular offering, but it sounds pretty great for now.
3. Templo
Restaurant, Australian, Italian
Visitors can still get their weekly carb fix from the Italian “drive-thru” restaurant Templo by ordering over the phone for pick up or delivery. Dial-in your pasta, pizza, wine and dessert order twenty minutes ahead, then drive to the back of the restaurant and toot when you arrive to collect your dinner. Check their Instagram for regular menu updates.
4. Kosaten
Restaurant, Australian, Japanese
Japanese restaurant Kosaten is now offering an extensive takeaway menu for pick up or free delivery on local services. With seven bento boxes to choose from, 10 sushi packs and side dishes including fried chicken, soft shell crab, sashimi and vegetarian options, they’ve got you covered.
